What the Numbers and Suffixes Mean

Lovense uses generation numbers rather than year labels. A “2” or “3” indicates a revision of the same product line, usually covering motor strength, battery life, connectivity stability and body shape. It does not indicate a different category of product.

This matters when comparing prices. An older generation is not a different product type — it is the same design with weaker specifications, which is sometimes exactly what a first-time buyer wants.

Connectivity: What “App-Controlled” Actually Covers

Every model in the range connects to the same app, and the connection layer works in three modes that people frequently confuse.
